Meet Chad Gleissl

Chad’s story is one of hard work, community, and service. Those are the values he learned growing up in Pennsylvania, and they’re the values that he’ll bring to Harrisburg.

A third-generation Pennsylvanian, Chad was shaped by his early life in Lancaster, PA. Chad has dedicated his life to serving his community and protecting our state – first in politics, then as a police officer, where he received multiple awards, from a Medal of Valor to an international community policing award.

His family story is like so many other Pennsylvanians’, starting with his grandfather, a World War II vet who earned a Purple Heart for his country. Chad’s father also came to the United States and lived the American Dream when he founded a welding and metalworking business.

Chad believes that our state government works best when our elected officials have healthy debates on the big issues facing Pennsylvania. He will always try to work across the aisle on issues like bringing critical supply chains and jobs back home, but he will also stand his ground when it comes to issues of principle, like protecting our rights and our democracy.
